Trinity Sports Management today announce that James Trueman joins the leadership team as Head of Rugby. James joins Trinity Sports Management after working at  leading financial services and advisory firm Deloitte for five years as a Management Consultant, specialising in marketing strategy, operations and brand engagement. James also possesses rugby pedigree having represented England at U-16 level, was a part of the Leicester Tigers U-19 Academy and is now an RFU registered Agent.

James is tasked with managing and growing Trinity Sports Management’s rugby division. Trinity represents current Sale Sharks fly-half AJ MacGinty who recently signed a new four year deal.

Speaking on his decision to join Trinity, James said, “I am delighted to join Trinity Sports Management at a tremendously exciting time for the company. As one of the leading cycling agencies in the world, Trinity has earned a first class reputation for putting athletes first through integrity, trust and most importantly, delivering what the athlete wants.”

He added, “Sport has always been my passion and I have been fortunate to gain an understanding of what life for a rugby player is like. From pushing yourself to the limit in pre-season, to the pressures of contract negotiation and achieving collective success with your teammates. I gained invaluable commercial experience at Deloitte and when coupled with my understanding of rugby, I will be able to take both sides of the coin into consideration when representing rugby players. Winning is the ultimate objective for an athlete; my role is to do everything I can to facilitate this on and off the field.

Trinity Director, Andrew McQuaid commented, “It’s fantastic to bring James onboard to lead our rugby division. His rugby background and corporate experience of working with some of the biggest brands and organisations will stand him in good stead when representing rugby players.
